TPW West’s mission is to educate, inspire, and activate a peer network of effective, engaged, and innovative philanthropists.
TPW West is a distinctive provider of lifelong strategic donor education and networking, substantive engagement with philanthropic communities, and encouraging environments for philanthropic innovation. Our programs provide forward-thinking philanthropists with a strategic framework and innovative set of skills, tools, investment models, and resources that yield an amplifier effect on their philanthropic giving and investing.
Internship Description:
TPW West is seeking spring interns to assist the staff in the planning and implementation of program events. Intern responsibilities will include but are not limited to helping staff put operational systems in place, organizing past speaker information and investigate potential new ones, researching for the next international trip, updating and maintaining databases and files, and supporting the organization's community of philanthropists. Ideally, the selected candidate would begin in February and continue through the end of May with the potential to stay on longer.
This internship is best suited for those individuals interested in gaining experience within a small non-profit office. Internships are primarily administrative and clerical in nature, but other projects can be assigned as they arise to match the intern's interests.
Internships are unpaid, however students may be able to arrange academic credit. Students should check with their individual academic institutions for requirements.
Qualifications:
Applicants should be well-organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and reliable, with a strong interest in philanthropy and/or non-profit work. Availability for a minimum of two full days or three partial days per week and computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Internet applications) are required. Graphic and web design experience is a plus, as is database experience, particularly Salesforce.
How to Apply:
Please apply immediately by sending a cover letter and resume in PDF format to tpwwjobs@gmail.com, with "SPRING 2012 INTERNSHIP" in the subject line. It is preferred that all materials be submitted via email.
